Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

CNHC is the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. Its key function is to enhance public protection by setting standards for registration with CNHC. The CNHC ‘quality mark' is being recognised as the hallmark of quality for the sector. This means that the general public, and those who commission the services of complementary healthcare practitioners, will be able to choose with confidence by looking for the CNHC quality mark.
The Department of Health recommends that, where CNHC registers the professional discipline in question, you consult with someone who is CNHC registered.

The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP)

APHP is an exclusive body, based in the UK but with world-wide membership, dedicated to maintaining a high standard of professionalism amongst its members, all of whom are fully covered by hypnotherapist's professional indemnity insurance and committed to ongoing training. It is only possible to join the Association and the hypnotherapists directories via invitation or training by an accredited hypnotherapy school.
The APHP is not a general hypnotherapy register, that is, it is not simply a directory of hypnotherapists that any individual can apply to join. Each of our members is known to have received thorough training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, is competent and conscientious, and abides strictly by the code of the association ethics.
